Meyer’s

Meyer’s thrive on attention and need a minimum of 3–4 hours of out-of-cage time daily. They bond deeply and can suffer from loneliness if left alone for long periods.

Diet: A high-quality pellet (Harrison’s or Roudybush) should make up 60–70% of the diet. Supplement with fresh vegetables, fruits, and healthy table foods. Avoid avocado, chocolate, caffeine, and onion.

Housing: Minimum cage size 24″x24″x36″. Bar spacing ½”–¾”. Provide multiple perches of varying diameters to keep feet healthy.

Training: Start with step-up on day one. Positive reinforcement with small food rewards works best. Mo’s birds arrive already knowing step-up.

Mo ships birds via USPS Priority Express (overnight) or Delta Cargo airline transport depending on your location. Birds are shipped in USPS-approved containers with heat packs in cold weather.

When we ship: Monday–Wednesday only to avoid birds sitting in a facility over the weekend. Weather holds may be necessary during extreme heat or cold.
